  • We only collect data from your public profile with the consent you give before using social login, from the social network used to log in to our website (Facebook, LinkedIn, X). These data include your first name, last name, email address, the link to your social network profile, your unique identifier, and the link to your social profile picture or, for Facebook and LinkedIn logins, the profile picture itself.

Why are my personal data processed?

MÉDIA EXPLORATION mainly collects, records, organises, structures, stores, uses and disseminates your Data.

Below are the purposes and legal bases that allow MÉDIA EXPLORATION to process your personal data in this way. These purposes may change while remaining consistent with the original purposes.

Order management

Payment of your orders and subscriptions

  • Preamble

When you pay on the Site, your payments are secured. MÉDIA EXPLORATION does not collect your payment data, only a payment identifier and some of the digits of your bank card, so that you can recognise the card used for your last payment. All your bank details are collected solely by our PCI-DSS-certified payment service provider (a banking security standard), which guarantees the security of payments.

  • Payment for a subscription

If you have subscribed to a subscription service, the card used for payment when subscribing is stored to pay the instalments of your automatically renewing subscription. = Legitimate interest

How long are my Data kept?

We keep your Data for as long as we are required to under applicable law and for the purposes defined above.

The retention periods for your Data are set out below.

  • Product order management = the entire duration of the contractual relationship and 5 years after the last recorded activity.
  • Use of the customer account = the entire duration of the contractual relationship and 5 years after the last recorded activity.
  • Bank data following a one-off payment = 14 months (pursuant to Article L133-24 of the French Monetary and Financial Code)
  • Bank data for a subscription = duration of the contract
  • Bank data to facilitate future purchases = until consent is withdrawn or until the bank card expires

PROSPECTS

Prospect data = 3 years from the end of the commercial relationship or from the last contact

SITE VISITORS

Cookies – IP address, date, time and duration of each connection, and information identifying the recipient of a communication = 13 months from collection

Data security and storage

MÉDIA EXPLORATION undertakes to ensure the security and confidentiality of your Data in accordance with best practice, that is, by requiring an adequate level of protection as recommended by the CNIL (French data protection authority).

However, given the structure of the Internet and networks, MÉDIA EXPLORATION cannot guarantee absolute security. If a security breach likely to result in a high risk to your rights and freedoms is detected, MÉDIA EXPLORATION undertakes to inform you as soon as possible and, as far as possible, to use the best means to neutralise the intrusion and minimise its impact.

What are your rights and how can you exercise them?

You have the right to access the Data we hold about you and to correct, update, rectify, delete, erase or otherwise modify your Data where they are inaccurate or have been processed in breach of applicable data protection regulations.

You may also object to the processing or exercise your right to data portability.

Please include with your request the information needed to identify you (last name, first name, email address) and any other information needed to confirm your identity. In case of doubt, MÉDIA EXPLORATION may ask you for a copy of your identity document in accordance with applicable regulations.

MÉDIA EXPLORATION undertakes to handle your requests as quickly as possible, unless the law or a legitimate reason requires it to retain some of your Data.

MÉDIA EXPLORATION reserves the right to charge the actual costs of handling your request, within the limits set by the CNIL.
