Picking the destination
Every month, our team picks a new country, and we hop to a different continent each time! The idea? No two letters are ever alike. Every month brings a fresh story, so your little explorer learns loads without even noticing.
Writing the letter
Behind Lucian, there’s actually… a team of travel-loving children’s authors! Every issue is carefully researched, from landscapes to local traditions to quirky stories. The discoveries are 100% real, with just a pinch of imagination to spice up Lucian’s adventures.
Sketching it out
Starting from the story, our illustrator Manon draws the first pencil sketches: landscapes, details, patterns. This is where everything starts taking shape.
Adding the color
A splash of color in every issue! Felt-tip, pencil and watercolor: light brushstrokes, scribbled notes, sketches from the field… Every detail is designed to look like Lucian drew it all himself, right there on the spot!
Scanning and printing
We scan the original artwork, lay it out with the text, then off it goes to our printer! Every letter is printed on lovely 160 gsm textured paper that feels great in your hands and is far too nice to throw away. Fair warning: you’ll want to collect them all!
Sealing, stamping and posting!
A vintage-style envelope, packed and sent with care by Lucian’s trusty helpers. Ready to go check the mailbox? It’s on its way!

Meet our illustrator, a fellow travel lover
Manon, a French illustrator, lends her pen to Lucian. Her style blends quick sketches, soft watercolors and little scribbled notes, just like a real explorer’s travel journal.
We pour love into every detail so kids feel like a real explorer drew it, painted it and posted it from the other side of the world.

The Adventure Post was born in France from a simple idea: to help children discover the world through the magic of real mail.
What began as a French adventure is now travelling further, bringing its stories, illustrations and sense of discovery to young explorers around the world.
From France to the UK, Canada and the United States — and soon beyond — the adventure is only just beginning.

The world is a big, tangled, wonderful place, and it makes a lot more sense up close. Learning early to look, compare and ask questions is also how kids learn to welcome other cultures, other landscapes, other ways of living.
That’s why we started our own independent publishing house. From the first spark of an idea to the final stamp on the envelope, everything is made with care, with learning at its heart, and with partners who are all based in France.
So what makes us different? Kids feel like the stories come straight from the field. That immersion is what makes it all work: kids actually read when they believe it’s true!
